Research Assistant (Postdoc) (f/m/d)

This position should be filled by January 2025 with an initially limited contract of one year. The regular working hours will be 39,8 per week (full-time position) and the salary corresponds to the E13 T V-L (100 %) level (Part time employment is also possible) .

The position is affiliated with the group of Prof. Dr. Manuel Alcarazo, who works on the synthesis and design of new catalysts and reagents based on P, S and neighbouring elements. Specifically, the successful candidate will be involved in the development of new reagents based on sulfonium salts and the development of their synthetic applications.

We are looking for an outstanding chemist with strong theoretical background and experience working in organic synthesis and/or catalysis and main group chemistry. A master degree and a Ph D in chemistry is a mandatory requriment. Expertise in analytical and spectroscopic tools is also fundamental.

The ideal candidate is expected to be creative, capable to work independently, and team player. Excellent communication and organizatorial skills are also requested.
