Join us today and experience Life at Visa.Job DescriptionThe Head of RMD Office is taking over operative responsibility for the RMD/Leader of the Eurozone Branch in the following areas:Leading the Eurozone Branch, ensuring Visa meets the requirements of the SIPS Regulation and other applicable legal requirementsPartnering with the Risk, GE, Treasury and People Team Leads on the operation of the Eurozone branchVisa Technology Europe Governance Business LeadCrisis Incident Command ManagementActing as a liaison between the RMD and other executives, employees, and external stakeholders.

Fostering positive relationships and facilitating effective communication.Acts as a sounding board for the RMD, and supporting RMD and cluster leadership team to drive forward internal strategic projects, helping managing change which includes bringing together multiple stakeholders and help driving decisionsSetting the RMD's strategic priorities: Helping the RMD identify the areas where he must direct his focus and identifying metrics for success.
Revisiting regularly & evaluating progressMonitoring information flow: Sometimes acting as a gatekeeper, ensuring RMD's involvement in a project or decision-making process at the right moment.Coordinating high-level client engagements, external (regulatory) and internal meetings incl.
Meeting Preparation (Preparing agendas, briefing materials, and presentations for meetings. Attending meetings, taking minutes, and following up on action items)Managing Documents: Drafting, reviewing, and managing correspondence, reports, and presentations.

Maintaining confidential files and records.Researching, benchmarking, analyzing data, and making recommendationsStaying abreast of major industry and regulatory topics and trends relevant to the cluster, and proactively ensuring the cluster Leadership team are aware and able to contribute as appropriateSupporting RMD in the organization and execution of cluster-specific industry events Preparing internal briefs / documents for key meetingsProvides feedback centrally on business improvement opportunities e.g. process improvements, IT issuesProvide inputs into wider regional / global strategic initiatives on behalf of the clusterThis is a senior level role reporting into the Regional Managing Director (RMD) and this role is a member of the Cluster Leadership Team.

This role leads a small team.Key responsibilitiesEurozone Branch Management (60%)Work in partnership with the Eurozone Branch Manager (RMD of the cluster) to run the operations of the Eurozone Branch with key responsibilities in that regard for risk management, compliance and internal audit(s).Work in partnership with Risk, GE, Regulatory Counsel, Comms and People Team Leads on the Eurozone Branch operations.Coordinate interaction with ECB for SIPS responsibilities and ensure that the branch meets information requests from the ECB (e.g. fulfilment of PISA requirements).Lead on orchestration of external and internal Eurozone related meetings.

This includes Operating Committees, ECB visits etc.Ensure that the operation of VEPS complies with the requirements of the SIPS Regulation and other applicable legal requirements in so far as that operation relates to the euro area.Support the operations of Visa Technology Europe Governance Business Lead.Coordinate and drive the Crisis Incident Management esp.

the internal and external crisis simulation along with weekly on-call duty.Liaison role and Cluster Operations (20%)Act as a liaison between the RMD and other executives, employees, and external stakeholders. Revisit regularly and evaluate progress.Support RMD in their preparation, monitoring and execution of their personal OKRsProvide clear, concise, fact based and persuasive executive level communications, which facilitate prioritization and high impact decision makingLead on development and execution of cross functional key internal projects that are of high strategic impact to business and represents cluster in cross-functional forums as appropriate.Promote a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency in driving governance simplification, enabling high quality decision making and aligning to wider corporate governance.Provide clear, concise, fact based and persuasive executive level communications, which facilitate prioritization and high impact decision makingMonitor information flow: Sometimes act as a gatekeeper, ensure RMD's involvement in a project or decision-making process at the right moment.

Selecting only the information/learning content that is relevant for the RMD from a large number of new products/services/market developments/regulatory topics/political developments.Research, benchmark, analyze data, and make recommendations.

Create systems and processes to streamline operationsClient Engagement (20%)Provide direct client engagement support, i.e. as and when needed, support Sales (in collaboration with RMD and Country Managers), e.g. manage efficient use of RMD's time and prioritize and proactively orchestrate RMD's involvement in key stakeholder engagements with issuers, merchants, regulatory bodies etc.Create and coordinate content for high-level client meetings, external (regulatory) and internal meetings, i.e. Prepare agendas, briefing materials, and presentations for meetings.

Attend meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items.Manage documents, i.e. Draft, review, and manage correspondence, reports, and presentations. Maintain confidential files and records.This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office.

Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.Qualifications-Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD-10 or more years of work experience in regulatory or strategy excellence-Experience in matrix organizations and organizational interdependencies-Broad knowledge of the card payments industry, local payments market and ecosystem-Broad and comprehensive knowledge of Visa business and its products and services-Strong analytical skills-Fluent in English and preferably German-Ability to deal with and influence senior internal and external stakeholders and decision makersAdditional InformationVisa is an EEO Employer.
