Fire Alarm Design Engineer (m/w/d) - Gigafactory Berlin - Brandenburg

Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Fire alarm Design Engineer for Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg. The Gigafactory design team drives to create the factory of the future by overseeing the design of cutting-edge large-scale equipment and utility systems to support highly innovating manufacturing processes.

  • Lead design/Construction for Fire alarm detection and Siren System in various shops starting from Concept design up to detail design (LPH1 to LPH5) in Revit, supporting tendering process, site reviews as part of construction phase. (LPH8)
  • Coordinating the requirement based on Fire protection concept
  • Delivering the calculation for the RAS system with PipeIQ software or similar
  • Creating single line diagram for the Fire alarm system
  • Understanding and providing details for connection with other system like Sprinkler, ventilation etc.
  • Creating/updating Fire alarm system concept and Matrix, Fire running cards for the Fire brigade
  • Replying to RFIs from contractors
  • Closely work with external stakeholders and other teams like construction, quality, testing and commissioning
  • Co-participate in initial detailed design development and carefully balance product specifications, equipment and component requirements, layout complexity, cost, quality and lead-time limits
  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in Electrical or Construction Engineering, or evidence of exceptional ability
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience in electrical building design field with focus on Fire alarm system (Preferably in Germany)
  • Proficiency with very low voltage systems, like IT passive infrastructure, fire alarm and surveillance systems as well as German projects either commercial, residential, or industrial projects
  • Certificate for Fire alarm system design according to DIN 14675 would be a plus
  • Experience with Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD as well as German code: VDE, DIN
  • Industrial building experience is nice to have, but not a must
  • Excellent communication skills, preferably in both German and English
