System Architect (f/m/d) Technology Transformers
A Snapshot of Your Day
In your new role you will work closely with our Product Managers(f/m/d) and the Digital System Architect (f/m/d) to perform the conception, planning and design of complex engineering systems in the context of transformers. You will actively collaborate with and guide several agile teams during the conception, design, and review of fit-for-purpose solutions.Contribute to technical planning and help the business to create a technical roadmap to stay competitive while always keeping a technical eye on the industry trends and new technologies. You will serve as key contributor to a technical excellence initiative (e.g. standardization in transformers).
How You'll Make an Impact- Drive the culture of making conscientious technical decisions to balance out needs between business requirements, development resources constraints, and long-term technical targets based on analyzed business requirements by product management design a transformer system that meet those requirements
- Define, control and refine technical roadmap together with inhouse and external technical transformer experts to ensure that all components of the system work together efficiently and are consistent
- Guide and coordinate the system integration team that work on various aspects of the system to ensure that the architectural plans are successfully implemented
- Assure quality, reliability and testing of the development results (e.g., while integrating the respective software environment or prototyping of specific hardware solutions) by building continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines
- Ensure that the system meets current standards and best practices
- Guarantee proper documentation in collaboration with the development teams of architectural diagrams, technical specifications and rules
- Provide technological advice and recommendations to the management and other stakeholders (e.g. transformer clusters) on technological opportunities and trends
- Continuously improve and updating the system architecture based on new technological developments and business requirements
- Completed Master's Degree or higher in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering or a related technical experience
- Long-term working experience as system architect or a design engineer in the transformer area
- In-depth technical knowledge of transformer technology and system plus related standards
- Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly SAFe is a plus.
- Leadership skills & coaching capabilities
- Self-driven attitude to get engaged and contribute as well as excellent communication skills both written and spoken in English
- Strong analytical skills and excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges and make informed decisions
- Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical audiences and convincing stakeholders (in a matrix organization)
