The EMEA Sales Operations Director (f/m/d) will work closely with the global sales operations to lead and fulfill strategic sales operations functions for the region. S/he will be the partner and go-to person for EMEA sales VP on key functions to drive revenue growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
This role involves strategic planning, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the alignment of commercial activities with the company’s overall business objectives. In addition, this role will collaborate and leverage resources such as CRM Project Manager, Enablement Leader, Data Analytics team as well as other regional sales operational operations leaders for continuous improvement and ensure global alignment.

The ideal candidate is a generalist with a GM mindset that can support and influence sales team to accelerate growth in the region.

Tasks
  • Oversee the sales operations team to enable efficient pipeline management, and deal closure.
  • Analyze sales performance metrics and provide actionable insights to improve productivity and profitability.
  • Design/improve sales incentives by leveraging sales performance insight to maximize revenue and market share.
  • Coach the regional sales team for better forecasting and pipeline management and provide process and standard work governance.
  • Own the budget planning process for EMEA and ensure targets are effectively deployed and managed.
  • Optimize territory design to maximize the growth potential in different geographies across the region.
  • Manage the regional adoption of critical global process and standard work, while providing feedback to the global sales operation leader.
  • Partner with EMEA sales VP to ensure the governance of critical operating structure such as regional sales operating and staff review, growth room etc.
  • Lead ad hoc global strategic projects and ensure critical milestones are aligned and achieved on time.
  • Collaborate with the CRM project leader to establish a standard structure and process for regional CRM change requests and ensure critical requests are being prioritized by the CRM architect team.
  • Manage commercial KPIs, ensure the readiness for review with regional and global sales leaders.
  • Coach sales team to solve business problems and ensure countermeasures are taken to address the problems effectively.
  • Champion continuous improvement through cross functional kaizens to enhance process & workflow efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on customer insight and market trend to support strategic planning and Go-to-Market initiatives.
  • Stay current on industry best practices and technologies, explore, and propose technical solutions to continuously improve sales team’s productivity.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Business or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive and tangible experience in business process improvement, CRM management, sales, sales operations in life science and/or industrial businesses
  • Collaborative leadership, communication and influencing skills
  • Demonstrable success in leading cross-functional projects in a global environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, global environment with great attention to details
  • Proficient knowledge of process improvement, six sigma, and/or lean principles used in commercial environment
  • Strong knowledge in opportunity-quote-case business process in Salesforce with real-life experiences
  • Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making
