We are looking for a Senior Reinsurance Analyst (m/f/d), based in Munich.

You will be part of a globally successful group of people focused on reinsurance within Allianz Commercial and spread across the globe. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team with a strong reputation and a commitment to excellence.

The Impact You Will Have

You will work closely with Claims, Actuarial, Cat Modelers, Finance and Underwriting departments to help develop and assess efficient reinsurance solutions.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• Take on responsibility for specific lines of business with regards to reinsurance analytics
• Participate in discussions with the business to understand and address their needs with regards to reinsurance solutions in a global Allianz Commercail context
• Extract, edit and process relevant claims and exposure data
• Support key business processes like the multi-year business planning from reinsurance side
• Define and evaluate reinsurance solutions e.g. based on Monte-Carlo-Simulations or burning cost analysis
• Closely work with involved departments from Claims, Finance, Underwriting, Risk Management et.al. to align assumptions and ensure consistent analytics
• Analyze efficiency of reinsurance structures against various benchmarks and KPIs with a view to optimize the risk-return profile
• Contribute to the further development of analytical capabilities
• Engage in best practice sharing and constant know-how transfer within the team and towards stakeholders

• Degree in mathematics, actuarial science, finance, business administration or other area that involves a strong focus on quantitative analysis
• Professional reinsurance experience and in-depth understanding of reinsurance practice
• Expert knowledge of reinsurance instruments, underlying business and Actuarial / Risk Capital requirements
• Technical and practical background in one industrial insurance line of business, general understanding of all major business segments and a robust understanding of actuarial principles and practices
• Experience of working internationally and of remotely supporting global teams across numerous locations
• Ability to evaluate risk reward effects of reinsurance, e.g. impact on P&L and capital position of company
• Capable to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; identify and resolve issues before they transpire
• Desire to constantly develop own skills and expertise and share knowledge across the organization
• Practical knowledge and experience in programming languages like VBA, Python and SQL
• Fluent English skills
