The Desktop Support Technician will provide day-to-day local and remote desktop support, including receiving inbound calls, answering questions, troubleshooting, and documenting steps taken to resolve hardware, software, and application issues in a ticketing system.
The technician will also facilitate customer issue resolution and ensure operational consistency by engaging supervisors and managers as necessary. The position involves Break Fix, fault diagnosis, and resolution of issues related to core operating systems and platforms.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in Windows Desktop support.

Job DescriptionThe Desktop Support Technician will provide day-to-day local and remote desktop support, including receiving inbound calls, answering questions, troubleshooting, and documenting steps taken to resolve hardware, software, and application issues in a ticketing system.
The technician will also facilitate customer issue resolution and ensure operational consistency by engaging supervisors and managers as necessary. The position involves Break Fix, fault diagnosis, and resolution of issues related to core operating systems and platforms.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in Windows Desktop support.
Position Responsibilities and Functions
- Provide first and second-level contact and problem resolution for customer issues.
- Work with third-party vendors to address complex hardware and software issues when necessary.
- Provide timely communication on issue status and resolution.
- Maintain ticket updates for all reported incidents.
- Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot Windows (XP, 7, 8.1, 10) and other authorized desktop applications.
- Basic knowledge of Mac operating systems to support Apple PC users.
- Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot printers and other computer hardware.
- Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, and printers.
- Conduct remedial repairs on desktops, laptops, printers, and any authorized peripheral equipment.
- Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems related to network connectivity and workstation hardware/software.
- Have a broad understanding of IT, including basic knowledge of Networks, Servers, Audio/Visual equipment, Smart Devices, and Telecom systems.
- This role requires working in a project-based environment that requires flexibility and teamwork.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
- Comp TIA A+, MCP/MCSE certifications are desirable.
- Minimum of 18 months to 2 years of IT experience.
- Proficient in Windows (7-10), Microsoft Active Directory, and the use of GPOs, MS Office 365, PC hardware installation and troubleshooting, enterprise anti-virus solutions, and helpdesk ticketing systems.
- Experience with mobile device management (i OS, Android), enterprise encryption solutions, and Windows PC/laptop management through Active Directory.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
- Adaptable and flexible in a fast-changing industry and work environment.
Contract length: 60 months
