Associate Data Engineer, BOM Management, New Product Implementation (m/f/d) - Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg

The Associate Data Engineer takes ownership for system activities required to successfully promote the non-event launch of the program. The position requires close cooperation with other NPI team members in a fast-paced environment. Regular interface with various departments is required, including manufacturing, product development, supply chain, quality, and sales.

• BOM (Bill of materials) configuration for new programs and ongoing changes
• Completeness and accuracy audit of BOM
• Global BOM and change management tracking across all factories
• Change analysis and NPI project engineers support based upon the BOM data
• Support the development of policies, standards and systems of BOM and Change Management
• Creation and improvements of IT tools and dashboards helping in everyday work
• Maintain day-to-day internal relationships; point of contact for all BOM issues
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or IT and/or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability
• Passion to data – ability to analyze and manage Manufacturing BOM structure and changes, capability to identify and address discrepancies with large data sets
• Production Operations Knowledge - Has a basic understanding of how complex production lines operate.
• First understanding of PLM, ERP, MES, and Analytics tools, strong in Excel
• Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and problem solve
• Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects, with various teams including engineers and supply chain personnel
• Organizational skills to manage and track transactional details
