Studio Apelbaum (and Analogdream e.V.) based in Berlin Mitte, led by Jonathan Apelbaum, explores gender, sexuality, and intimacy through oil paintings that merge traditional art forms with interactive technologies. Based in Berlin, the studio's approach intertwines oil paintings, interactive installations, performances, sound, and design.

Their 'cognitive' paintings, developed over six years, dynamically respond to the environment using programmable LED panels, integrating thousands of addressable RGB warm white LEDs. Collaborating with performers and dancers, they infuse A.I. and machine learning for movement tracking and sound recognition, creating a multi-sensory dimension.

Studio Apelbaum's vision transcends analog-digital and traditional-new divides, celebrating collaboration among engineers, painters, coders, and performers. Functioning as a creative home, the studio fosters discussions, exhibitions, and performances.

Collaborations with diverse cultural spaces and events, including Lunchbox Candy, IKSK, Anomalie Art Club, ARTCO, Samuelis Baumgarte Galerie, and Aeden club in Berlin, underscore their commitment to inclusivity and engaging a broader spectrum of society.
