We are currently seeking a Service Desk Technician (1st level) to join our customer`s team.

Responsibilities:

 •  User Support: Deliver responsive technical assistance to end-users via phone, email, chat, or in person, guaranteeing prompt resolution of IT-related problems.
 •  Troubleshooting: Identify and fix hardware, software, and network issues, escalating complex concerns to appropriate teams when necessary.
 •  Incident Management: Log, track, and prioritize support requests using a ticketing system, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of all incidents and resolutions.
 •  Password and Access Management: Aid in password resets, account creations, and access provisioning and deprovisioning in line with company policies.
 •  Software Installation and Updates: Install, configure, and update software applications, ensuring compatibility and compliance with licensing agreements.
 •  Hardware Support: Provide assistance with hardware setup, maintenance, and replacement, including computers, printers, and peripherals.
 •  Remote Support: Extend remote assistance to off-site or remote employees, guiding them through technical issues or conducting remote troubleshooting when feasible.
 •  Knowledge Base: Contribute to the development and upkeep of a knowledge base, crafting documentation and FAQs to assist end-users in resolving common problems.
 •  Training: Assist in training employees on fundamental IT procedures and best practices.
 •  Compliance: Ensure that all support activities conform to company policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements
 •  TECHNOLOGY: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is a requirement, specifically in Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Visio.
 •  Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows), and software applications is necessary.
 •  Familiarity with network protocols and troubleshooting network connectivity issues is expected.
 •  KNOWLEDGE:
 •  Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming, is required.
 •  Understanding the structure, content, meaning, spelling, rules of composition, and grammar of the English language is necessary.

 •  Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and evaluation of customer satisfaction, is required.
 •  Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources is expected.
 •  Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services, is necessary.
 •  SKILLS:
 •  Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems is a required skill.
 •  Active listening, which involves giving full attention to what others are saying, understanding the points being made, asking appropriate questions, and not interrupting at inappropriate times, is a necessary skill.
 •  Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents is a crucial skill.
 •  Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one is a skill that is expected.
 •  Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes is an essential skill.
 •  ABILITIES:
 •  The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce logical answers is required.
 •  The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions, including finding relationships among seemingly unrelated events, is necessary.
 •  The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences is expected.
 •  The ability to communicate information and ideas effectively in spoken form is necessary.
 •  The ability to recognize when something is wrong or likely to go wrong, without necessarily solving the problem, is an important ability.
