Ihre zukünftige Arbeitsstelle:
You will work as a Analysis Engineer R&T Propulsion (m/w/d) for our well known client in the aviation industry in Weßling near Munich.
In this position, you will have the exciting opportunity to work within the rapidly growing Structural Analysis Team. You will report to the Team Lead – Stress, through the function, working as part of the Structural Analysis Department. You will also be part of the Research and Technology Team for the Propulsion System.
Ihre Aufgaben:
• Agile and fast iterating concept evaluation and design improvements based on crash and impact analysis, topology optimization and structural analysis.
• Pre-sizing and optimization of structural components (based on stress and crash and impact analysis) and their interfaces related to the propulsion sysem.
• Create, adjust, and validate detailed FE models of sub-components and complete propulsion system structures and their installations, with responsibility for the full workflow of numerical modelling, solving and post-processing.
• Model correlation with static and dynamic test data to drive analysis-based concept decisions and design optimizations
• Actively define and develop modelling methods, tools and optimization techniques to support an efficient product pre-/development
• Support all structural analysis methods relevant to new technologies and their pre-development. Communicate the necessary updates with methods & tools team.
• Collaborate closely with Engineers from Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Material and Process and System Testing.
Ihr Profil:
• Bachelor/ Master degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
• Experience in structural analysis with application to aircraft structures, automotive structures and in the best case to propulsion related structures.
• Very good knowledge of explicit simulation for crash and impact using lightweight materials such as composites and metals.
• Knowledge of structural analysis methods following established standards.
• Working experience with commercial explicit FE codes (i.e. LS-DYNA, Radioss) and implicit tools (Hyperworks, Hypermesh, Optistrut , etc.).
• Experience in modelling structural joins such as adhesive or bolted joints
• Working experienced with CAD software (i.e NX, CATIA) is beneficial.
• Experiences with lightweight design principles of composite materials, metals, adhesives, non-structural materials, and their structural behavior.
• Experienced with the agile concept and fast iterative pre-design phase of the R&T process.
• Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language would be beneficial.
