Requirements
• Purification of recombinant adeno associated viruses (rAAVs) from benchtop up to 200 L scale.
• Development of new protocols for the purification of rAAVs, including literature research
• Planning, execution, evaluation, and documentation of experimental work to implement DSP strategies.
• Conduct process-relevant analysis to determine the qualitative and quantitative properties of the produced rAAVs.
• Technical guidance and training of technical assistants and students
• General tasks for laboratory organization as well as maintaining the laboratory operation, equipment responsibilities and material procurement.
• Creation of lab procedures, operating instructions, protocols & reports in English
• Presentation of DSP data at internal & external meetings, as well as international conferences
• Working with organisms of risk group 1
About you:
• You have a minimum M.Sc. or Ph.D degree in biology, biotechnology, biochemistry or similar related field.
• You have been able to put this training into practice for a minimum of two years.
• You have already worked on the purification of recombinant proteins or viral vectors on a laboratory scale.
• Hands-on experience with different chromatographic systems (Äkta Pure or Äkta Avant) required.
• Hands-on experience with TFF systems would be beneficial.
• You have routine in the creation of work instructions, and reports in English.
• You have the strength to translate the theory into the applied practice in the laboratory.
• You have very good command of German and English language skills (written and spoken)
• The use of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is routine for you.
• You enjoy working in a team.
