Marketing Manager Energy Drinks, DACH

Job Purpose

Your key role will be to deliver mid and long term strategies to accelerate Energy agenda by strengthening Rockstar and launching new brands in a consistent and coherent multi-brand strategy
Lead 3-5 years growth journey and develop respective business plans together with IBG (Global team) to deliver long term business plan and strategic direction. This role represents Germany in the Global Energy taskforce to create the global strategy (Germany is the biggest international market for Rockstar globally, outside US).

Achieve Annual Key Objectives (Net Rev, Volume and Profit) for Energy category in Germany, by planning and supervising the annual strategy for Energy Drinks segment in DACH.

Responsibilities:

 •  Achieve Key AOP Objectives (Net Rev, Volume and Profit) for Energy category in Germany
 •  Lead 3-5 years growth journey and develop respective business plans together with Global team to deliver long term business plan and strategic direction, plus leading the implementation in DACH
 •  Build Must Win Battles, Brand Growth Strategies and Behavioral Growth Targets plus TCP campaign year on year, in collaboration with Global team
 •  Manage total portfolio, building long term winning blockbuster SKUs
 •  Be key leader for all Energy topics within Northern Europe cluster and in contact with Global team
 •  Provide proper input for ICP (3-year strategy) & AOP to both, global and local organization
 •  Close collaboration with other departments like Commercialization, DX/Trade marketing, Sales, Supply, Commercialization, Finance, Media
 •  Develop and implement key strategies and programs, having the full responsibility for all communication with the agencies (media, creative, research), partners and suppliers
 •  Identify resources, competitive environment, possible partners, opportunity areas etc. and propose the activation plans and KPIs to ensure our brands meet their business and share of market objectives.
 •  Authority making decision for brand management matters related to the assigned category, within the pre-agreed concepts, objectives/budgets.
 •  Develop & supervise execution for locally relevant brand marketing plans for assigned brands, maximizing existing knowledge/learning from PepsiCo system
 •  Responsible for development and introduction of new products/brands within the assigned categories, all activities related to innovation development: planning, designing and launching new product initiatives, according to internal PepsiCo procedure;
 •  Responsible for set-up and management of the A&M budget and P&Ls for assigned brands
 •  Drive ROI efficiency in media and activations, full project, agency & budget management to deliver calendar on time & in full.
 •  Actively involves and develops action plans based on brand analysis: Consumer Regards, Retail Audit, internal sales etc;
 •  Collaborates with Global Energy team and local Lead Team to give/receive feedback, incorporate all learnings and secure sign off from stakeholders for multi-campaign calendar in order to ensure locally relevant application of activation plans; build close relationships within DACH commercial team to ensure flawless execution of plans
 •  Lead the culture change to embed growing mindset and capabilities into brand strategy & communication planning within DACH marketing team
 •  Manage, coach and develop direct reports, setting clear objectives, KPIs and development plans. Enable, empower, energize and provide clear vision for them.
 •  Lead the Capability agenda & calendar for the team with the support of the Marketing Director and HR team, both on the specific capability sessions, and during the on-going day by day work with the teams to help up-skill future marketing capability. Track the planned trainings & improve the future capability planning.
 •  Apply Global Control Standards in the processes under his/her accountability, following corporate and local policies as periodically updated and communicated, and ensure correct execution and documentation of controls.

Qualifications:

 •  University degree or equal
 •  At least 8-10 years of relevant job experience in Marketing and commercial, ideally within Beverage & Energy Drinks industry
 •  Consumer understanding & concept development
 •  Experience in bringing innovations into market
 •  Excellent Leadership & Coaching skills
 •  Fluent Business English, German is an advantage
 •  Strong Business Knowledge and Skills – able to understand different business realities, how P&L works, assess customers & consumer needs and develop plans to address key business objectives
 •  Strategist - creative, autonomous, results-oriented, with high capacity leadership to influence others, ensure teamwork, and build strong relationships.
 •  Excellent communication skills - engage and influence multiple stakeholders to build strong working relationships and take others with you.
 •  Cross-cultural abilities - able to understand different stakeholders needs, develop aligned plans in environments of diversity and uncertainty, and work with a positive “make it happen” attitude.

 •  Inspire others – ability to engage broad range of stakeholders both through compilation of compelling and persuasive presentations and ability to deliver.
