• Derivation of battery system requirements based on various international standards and customer specifications
• Identification and definition of system components requirements
• Moderation, support, and organization of cross-functional teams for requirements definition, analysis, review, and release
• Support for FMEA and safety risk assessment
• Definition and review of specific systems and component test cases in collaboration with the test department
• Study of the properties of different types of battery systems
• Completion of a Master’s degree in chemical, electrical, or mechanical engineering, software engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in battery system development for storage application battery systems, modules, and subcomponents, or power conversion systems (PCS)
• Profound knowledge of NFPA and various UL and IEC relevant standards, including NFPA 855, UL 9540, IEC 61508, IEC 62619, etc.
• Experience in stationary battery applications component/system and testing is advantageous
• Proficiency in instrumentation, measurement, calibration, and laboratory testing
• Experience in using requirements engineering tools such as Reqsuite, Doors, PTC Integrity, etc.
• Fluent in English (mandatory); German skills are an advantage
