Requirements Engineer (f/m/d) for HVDC / FACTS Control & Protection

Siemens Energy is seeking an experienced Requirements Engineer to join our team of professionals working on the HVDC and FACTS Control Systems. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, maintain and manage requirements for those critical control systems.You as a Requirements Engineer will be responsible for analysing and solving complex systems engineering problems, ensuring system stability and functionality, and defining new features and capabilities as needed.
How You'll Make an Impact- shape the future of HVDC and FACTS control systems by taking a pivotal role in establishing our systems engineering journey
- guide and collaborate with stakeholders to analyze, and document customer requirements
- think in terms of the entire system and involve the organization in solution approaches to understand the effective chains and boundary conditions. Therefore, follow the requirements through the entire development process
- continuously improve the requirements engineering process and tools
- achieve your goals while maintaining a big-picture perspective, designing cross-functional approaches that span organizational boundaries
- University degree in a relevant technical field e.g. computer science or preferably electrical engineering
- Several years of professional experience in the field of requirements engineering / systems engineering
- Expertise with a requirements tool like Polarion or a comparable tool and an architecture tool like MagicDraw or Enterprise Architect
- Professional experience with HVDC or FACTS Control Systems is preferred
- Further you bring the following skills into the team:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Self-organization and structure; you listen to expert opinions and your stakeholders before structuring the next tasks according to requirementAbility to learn and improve; you are willing to continuously learn and bring this knowledge as added value to the team and projects
- Very good English language skills complete your profile. Knowledge of German is an advantage
