IT Infrastructure Operations Engineer (f/m/d) - full-time/part-time for the Information Technology department - München

We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Operations Engineer (f/m/d) - (young) professional to start as soon as possible, who will be responsible for our IT landscape based on Microsoft Windows and MS 365 together with colleagues in the IT team.

As an Infrastructure Operations Engineer at ifo, you will be part of a team that provides and operates our IT services for internal users. Your main tasks include the provision and management of Windows Server 2019 infrastructures as well as MS365 products such as EntraID, Intune and Exchange Online.

• the administration and co-design of IT infrastructures in the order of around 300 digital workstations in a mainly Microsoft-based environment (Hyper-V, MS 365 solutions such as Intune, EntraID, Exchange-Online etc.).
• Supporting our team in the area of IT security (ifo EDR solution, VPN, firewall, network structure, etc.).
• Personal support for our scientists and administrative staff in all IT matters - on site, on the phone and via remote maintenance.
• Contributing your own ideas to constantly improve the IT support services at the ifo Institute. We provide you with the latest IT technology for this purpose.
• Continuous optimization of IT operations by automating recurring steps and processes.
• documenting workflows and recurring requirements.

• initial project and technical experience in the Windows Server 2019 environment, integrations and migrations from on-premises solutions to MS 365 products from Microsoft IT security, data backup, firewall, etc....
• training in IT systems engineering or a degree in computer science.
• a friendly and helpful manner.
• initiative and a willingness to familiarize yourself with new topics. Newcomers are also welcome!
• very good knowledge of German and English to round off your profile.
