• Responsibility for the management, further development and implementation of the technology plans for the site Vantage Leuna, based on the strategic business goals of the region EMEA and/or Vantage Corporate.
• Managing the technical project portfolio and the capital investment plan for Vantage Leuna for Growth & Innovation, Sustainability, Efficiency Improvements, Reliability and EHS / Regulatory Compliance projects in cooperation with the relevant stakeholders within the Vantage group (Manufacturing, Business, R&D).
• Preparation and control of the annual capital budget.
• Ownership of the improvement project pipeline from idea generation to implementation for the whole site Vantage Leuna.
• People leadership responsibility for the team of engineers (5 HC), including resource management, succession planning, organizational development and support in the recruitment of engineers.
• Coordination of the project execution activities, management of the interface to internal and external partners, such as procurement, finance, EPC service providers.
• Responsible for the management system in the area of engineering and Capex project execution, stage gate process, project reporting.
• Execution and management of process studies, opportunity/risk assessments, economic feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses, management of improvement and expansion projects for the site Vantage Leuna.

• Master degree in process engineering / chemical engineering / technical chemistry or a comparable qualification.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in Manufacturing & Engineering in the chemical industry.
• Very good knowledge and expertise in chemical process technology.
• Knowledge and experience in project management.
• Outstanding safety mindset and commitment to EH&S priorities.
• Knowledge and experience in process safety design, methodologies (e.g. HAZOP, LOPA), management systems and regulation, esp. relevant legislation in Germany.
• Fluent in spoken and written German and English.
• Strong ability to deliver results and achieve goals in cross-functional collaboration (matrix organization).
• Very good ability to lead, motivate and develop employees.
• Strong analytical, conceptual and entrepreneurial thinking.
• High degree of initiative, result-oriented working method.
• Flexible, enthusiasm for interdisciplinary and intercultural teamwork.
• Very good communication and stakeholder management skills.
