In this responsible position as Category Manager as Buyer, you will not only be responsible for the independent and structured planning of purchasing processes, but will also efficiently coordinate workflows and achieve deadlines and targets together with your team.

Tasks
  • Development and implementation of a product group specific strategy in close co-operation with national and international contractual partners of the Airbus Group
  • Preparation and analysis of product group-specific market analyses and regular reporting to relevant stakeholders
  • Pooling requirements at internal, national and international level to optimise procurement processes
  • Leading and initiating working groups on relevant material topics, including supplier identification and selection, as well as risk management
  • Active participation in multinational teams during the tendering and contract award phases, taking into account the product group strategy
  • Management of supplier development initiatives to improve delivery performance (quality, deadlines, conditions)
  • Negotiation and definition of contract terms, including contract conclusions, as well as contract and change management
  • Continuous monitoring of supplier performance, including risk management, process optimisation and capacity assessment
Qualification
  • Degree in engineering, business administration, supply chain/logistics or economics
  • Several years of professional experience in the areas of scheduling, material procurement, purchasing as well as operational and strategic procurement
  • Sound experience in supply chain/logistics and contract management
  • Good knowledge of stakeholder management and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Detailed user knowledge of SAP and Google Suite
  • Business fluent in German and English
  • Option to work from home after successful familiarisation (up to two days per week)
  • Willingness to travel approx. 4–6 times a year for 1–2 days each time within Europe
  • Existing work permit for the European Union (not a student visa)
