Acteon is currently looking for a highly qualified Structural analyst - Acoustics to join the team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will support the research and development team of the Acteon Marine Foundations business line.
Acteon Marine Foundations includes LDD and MENCK in various locations around the world. The main products and services are hydraulic breakers, large-diameter drilling, grouting, and cementing, and lifting and handling solutions. Our preferred candidate will be based in Kaltenkirchen (Hamburg) to ensure the direct link to the MENCK engineering team.
Your tasks- Acoustic analysis of airborne and underwater noise
- Development of suitable numerical simulation models
- Cooperation with internal and external partners (scientific research institutions)
- Support in project development/sales/operation with customers
- Central point of contact for all acoustic questions
- Internal training/support for acoustics
- Optimization of components regarding mechanical and acoustic goals
- Support with data analysis with a focus on acoustics
- Cooperation with geotechnical engineering at MENCK
- Physicist, mechanical engineer or acoustics engineer (Master of Science required, preferably Ph D)
- Specialist in acoustics, theoretical knowledge and experience in acoustics
- Good mechanical background
- Solid background in numerical simulation methods (FEM, BEM, optimization, ...)
- Knowledge in programming languages (Matllab, Python, ...), programming skills
- Basic understanding of geology/geotechnics
- Practical experience with common/current simulation software (Ansys, Abacus, ...)
- Team player with experience of working within interdisciplinary teams
- Plan, organize and prioritize work; Balance between skills, priorities, and schedule to achieve goals
- Very good knowledge of spoken and written German and English (at least B2/C1 level)
