Who will you be joining?

As a Compliance Officer, you will analyze sanctions regulations or money laundering-related laws and carry out corresponding business evaluations. The IT-supported screening tools are part of the day-to-day business. To ensure compliance requirements are met, you will work with underwriting and claims, among other things.

Conducting training, improving processes and risk-based activities round off your position.

How can you make an impact?

You will:

  • Work in AML/TF and sanctions prevention and control projects, e.g.
  • Non-Financial Risk Management,
  • Planning of reviews and controls in various Allianz companies,
  • Further development of processes
  • Planning and implementation of trainings for national and international teams
  • Planning, preparation, implementation and follow-up of compliance reviews
  • Processing of internal and external inquiries with complex issues from the sanctions/embargoes and AML/TF within the high-risk areas of the Allianz companies
  • Further development of professional risk assessments
  • Evaluations and analyses of all sanctions-relevant processes to support the preparation of reports
  • Analysis, processing and monitoring of processes for the prevention of sanctions/embargoes in various IT monitoring systems
  • Further development of rules for processing and checking warning messages in the screening tools
  • Support in recording and assessing compliance risks and Control

What are you made of?

Course of education:

  • Degree in law, business administration or a comparable degree
  • Fluent in English and German

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in the areas of economic sanctions and anti-money laundering in an insurance company, a bank or comparable financial service provider
  • Knowledge of the relevant provisions of sanctions law (esp. EU, UN, OFAC, UK) and its interpretation/application to the financial services industry and GWG
  • Experience with IT monitoring systems and portfolio management systems
  • Developing AML/TF policies and procedures, updating and ensuring their effective and continuous implementation
  • Quick comprehension and very good ability to work in a structured, thorough and independent manner, especially under time pressure
  • Confident handling of all Office applications
  • High degree of teamwork, social skills, planning and organizational skills as well as enthusiasm for the topics of the area of responsibility
  • High degree of flexibility, resilience and commitment, precise oral and written expression
  • Willingness to take on new challenges
  • Experience in business-related functions (e.g. sales, operations, claims, underwriting, investment management, asset management, consulting, product development, finance, market management, digital/tech, etc.) is an advantage
