What you'll do
In Leveraged & Acquisition Finance, you’ll play a vital role when it comes to our bank’s performance. For Nat West Bank Europe, our main aim is to deliver a wide range of financing solutions to private equity clients, as well as sponsor-owned corporates across Europe.We act as the Centre of Excellence for the origination and delivery of complex and event-driven transactions for the European leveraged finance market. You’ll work in an international team, as you work on transactions across Western Europe. You’ll be based in Frankfurt and collaborate closely with colleagues in London, Paris, and Amsterdam.
As an Origination Associate, you’ll be a member of a specialist product team, striving to provide the highest quality products and services to our clients while driving client advocacy. You’ll be focused on originating, structuring, and executing Leveraged Finance deals in the European market, working on transactions across a broad range of sectors and asset classes.You’ll be collaborating with stakeholders across the bank, as well as external clients and advisors to successfully execute transactions in a fast-paced and collegiate atmosphere.
Your role will also involve:
- Preparing high quality materials including pitch books and committee papers
- Undertaking fundamental credit analysis, due diligence and negotiating term sheets and loan documentations
- Taking ownership of the financial model, including LBO modelling
- Playing an active role in origination as well as transaction execution and stakeholder management
- Proactively enhancing customer satisfaction and advocacy
The skills you'll need
We’re looking for someone with a great interest in leveraged and acquisition finance, excellent analytical abilities, and good commercial acumen to proactively solve complex issues.
You’ll also need:
- To speak, write and read fluently in English, another European language would be an advantage
- Good interpersonal skills and experience in influencing colleagues and stakeholders
- A practical understanding and experience of applying risk management disciplines
- Unparalleled attention to detail and the ability to work to tight timescales
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to drive forward work streams of a transaction
