Who will you be joining?

The role of the Manager Supervisory Oversight is to support the Supervisory Oversight (SO) function in day-to-day business, which includes managing the interface with Allianz's group supervisor BaFin, the Allianz College of Supervisors and other supervisory authorities.

How can you make an impact?

You will:

  • Supporting in day-to-day business which includes managing the interface with supervisory authorities, in particular Allianz's group supervisor BaFin, the Allianz College of Supervisors, EIOPA and the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS)
  • Facilitating the coordination of group supervisor requests
  • Supporting the preparation, conduct and follow-up of supervisory meetings, audits, and visits
  • Monitoring supervisory requirements relevant for insurers and asset managers; identifying supervisory trends and strategic implications for the Group
  • Contributing to supervisory briefings and reports to the Allianz SE board of Management and senior management
What are you made of?
  • Applicants must have the following knowledge and competencies:
  • Legal state exams or Master in Law, Business, Economics, Politics or related fields
  • 1-2 years of working experience
  • Excellent command of German and English (written and spoken)
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Effective collaboration skills
  • Effective problem solving and decision making skills
  • Prior experience steering multiple stakeholders to a common goal
  • Basic understanding of the supervisory framework for insurance in Europe
  • Basic understanding of the insurance business model
  • Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
