Job requirements and responsibilities:

o Proteins are the fascinating nanomachines of life, involved in nearly any biological function, health, or disease.

To understand how proteins accomplish their function and how protein malfunction leads to disease, it is mandatory . In this computational PhD project, you will develop methods to combine molecular dynamics simulations (MD), machine learning (ML) techniques, and experimental data (such .

o You will carry out computer simulations on the group's GPU cluster with currently approximately 200 GPUs and on national computing centers.

o You will present your research at international conferences.

Your academic qualifications:

o Completed university studies in physics, chemistry, biophysics, or a related subject.

The successful candidate will also be expected to:

o Show high interest in molecular biophysics and/or machine learning.

o Have previous experience with computational scientific work. o Enjoy working in a team of researchers and enjoy co-supervising Bachelors and Masters students. o Enjoy collaborating with our external partners in Germany and worldwide. o Enjoy communicating research results and topics at international conferences.
