The Position
Are you passionate about developing and implementing strategic training initiatives? Boehringer Ingelheim is looking for a proactive and innovative individual to lead the development of a Project Management (PM) training program for our GFE site networks.This pivotal role involves creating and supporting business units project manager training programs, executing organization-wide trainings, and developing a 'Lessons Learned' process to enhance our continues improvement process for CapEx projects.

Tasks & responsibilities- As the custodian of the Boehringer Ingelheim PM training program, you'll be instrumental in shaping our Project Managers' development in a structured manner. This includes defining training programs, initiating trainings, executing training sessions with external support, and continuously updating these programs to stay at the forefront of industry standards.
- You'll play a pivotal role in supporting and training local/global Project Management Offices (PMOs) as well as our Project Teams, based on globally defined standards. Your expertise will be crucial in providing initial training and continuous support, particularly in areas such as project management excellence, but also cost controlling, scheduling, change, contract, risk management, etc.
- Taking ownership of the lessons learned strategy, you'll develop and implement required processes and documents. This includes executing lessons learned workshops, capturing benchmark figures, and developing an experience exchange concept. Your work will directly contribute to the improvement of our project processes and standards.
- In collaboration with the Projects & Reviews team, you'll develop and execute trainings for experienced Project Managers. Your role will be crucial in preparing them to lead and participate in Projects as well as Peer Reviews.
- In partnership with HR, you'll develop and implement concepts for people and talent development. This includes creating and facilitating a global engineering discipline-oriented virtual network, evaluating and communicating best practices.
- Master's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Extensive professional experience in project management, with a particular focus on CapEx projects
- Exceptional communication talent, homed in an international environment, including a good English and German (oral and written) knowledge
- Outstanding social competence, demonstrating the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
- Proven leadership capabilities, with a track record of guiding global teams to success
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, essential for navigating complex project landscapes
