Head of Finance & Transformation (Germany) - m/f/d

A leading European fintech scale‑up is looking for an experienced Finance Leader to take ownership of the German finance organisation and drive strategic, operational, and transformational impact across a fast‑growing digital‑lending business.

This is a rare chance to step into a high‑visibility senior leadership role, partnering closely with the VP Group Finance and the CFO, while shaping the future of finance in one of Europe's most innovative financial‑technology environments.

• Lead the full German finance function, including accounting, controlling, and reporting
• Drive finance transformation, process optimisation, automation, and digital/AI initiatives
• Ensure strong financial governance and compliance with HGB and IFRS
• Act as the key contact for auditors, tax advisors, financial institutions, investment banks, and corporate finance partners
• Develop and mentor high‑performing finance teams, fostering curiosity, ownership, and continuous improvement
• Partner with senior leaders across the organisation to translate financial insights into strategic decisions
• Take responsibility for key cross‑group topics (depending on profile), e.g. Treasury, Cash Planning, IPO Readiness

• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, including senior leadership roles
• Strong technical background with deep IFRS expertise
• Experience driving transformation, automation, or scaling finance organisations
• Big 4 / audit background very welcome
• Comfortable operating in dynamic, high‑stakes environments (e.g. PE‑backed or listed companies)
• Fluent in German and English

• Role can be performed fully remote within Germany, with only a few required onsite meetings per year
