Responsibilities:
The main responsibility of the Digital Solution Architect is to translate customer requirements to an implementable, differentiated, solution using Keysight’s measurement technology in combination with bespoke development and/or inclusion of commercially available components.
The task encompasses requirements collection, definition of system and acceptance criteria and tests. In this process the Solution Architect is the central person between customer and Keysight teams.
As a digital Solutions Architect the main responsibility is to design solutions around industry standards like;- IEEE Ethernet standards,
- DDR
- PCIe / USB
- HDMI / DisplayPort
Wil also be responsible to adapt these to possibly modified use models applicable to different industries in EMEA. The position requires international cooperation with colleagues world-wide as well as various Keysight R&D centres.
The solution architect is part of an international team focused on solutions acquisition and development organised in technology and industry teams; Wireless, Aerospace and Defence, and Digital.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
- Up to date knowledge of relevant electrical and optical, phy layer communication standards like:
- IEEE Ethernet standards
- DDR
- PCIe / USB
- HDMI / DisplayPort
- Experience in scripts-based programming languages (preferably Python) in real time environment and signal processing
- Some experience with simulation and simulation to measurement correlation
- Experienced in structured system development
Soft skills:
- Fluent in English and local language
- Above average communication skills (cross hierarchy, cultural, multi modal)
- Good negotiation skills, ability to formulate trade-off criteria (technical – commercial)
- Comfortable presenting to larger audiences
- Willingness to travel (domestic and international, multi day, multiple times per month)
Experience:
- Relevant experience in verification, characterization and debugging of high-speed digital IP
- Minimum of five years in a technical, customer facing, role
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or related fields of study.
Considerations:
- Design experience, and/or senior level design validation / verification
- Not necessarily from T&M background
- Semiconductor / EDA / component applications engineering
- Experience in delivery / consumption of SoW type consultancy projects.
