The Institute of Process Systems Engineering pursues research on process intensification by developing innovative model-based design and optimization approaches and integration with experimental research. The interdisciplinary research activities are oftentimes conducted in collaboration with academic and industrial partners, focusing on innovative process concepts for energy-efficient, (bio-)reactive and hybrid processes.Our research activities pursue the goal to develop resource-, energy- and cost efficient processes for a sustainable production in the chemical and biochemical industry.
YOUR TASKS- Process modeling and optimization
- Project management and teaching activities as well as supervision of student theses
- Support of ongoing research projects and project acquisition
- Writing of scientific publications and presentations
YOUR PROFILE
Requirements- University degree (M.Sc. or Ph D) in the field of process engineering or comparable
- Knowledge in the multiphase thermodynamics, fluid separations, especially distillation, and conceptual process design
- Knowledge in process modeling and optimization, with expertise in model-based design or applied optimization being favorable
- Interest in scientific work, self-motivation and performance orientation
- Ability to communicate and work in a team as well as to act independently and on one's own responsibility

- Collaboration in a young, interdisciplinary, highly motivated and dedicated team
- Participation in national & international conferences with presentations and interdisciplinary collaborations
