Working Student Data Ingestion Documentation (m/f/d)

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented working student, for 10-20 hours per week, to join our data team in documenting our data ingestion workflows. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in big data technologies and technical documentation while working in a dynamic data environment.You will document existing data ingestion workflows developed in Python and Spark SQL and create clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation for our data lake processes. In addition, you will collaborate with data engineers and analysts to understand workflow intricacies.
Furthermore, you will maintain and update documentation as workflows evolve. You will assist in creating visual aids (diagrams, flowcharts) to supplement written documentation and contribute to the development of documentation standards and best practices.
WHAT YOU OFFER
Studies in Business Informatics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or comparable Understanding of big data technologies, particularly Apache Spark (Spark SQL) Familiarity with data lake concepts and architectures is a plus Basic knowledge of Python programming and familiarity with SQL and database concepts Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and experience with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Markdown) are a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills in English WHAT WE OFFER
