  • You demonstrate entrepreneurship in strategy discussions, supporting the founders on fundraising topics and leading high-priority projects across multiple work streams.
  • Guide all teams to achieve company goals by translating our company strategy in clear objectives, milestones and outcomes.

Please be aware that tozero does not offer any remote (zero remote) - we believe in building a strong culture at this stage of the company, especially with engineers having to work on-site in the plant and lab.

Tasks

🎯 Driving Fundraising, Operational Excellence, and Investor Relations to Propel Growth at tozero.
  • Actionable Strategy Planning: Translate overall strategy and company goals into actionable planning and tracking to ensure alignment across all teams.
  • Strategic Oversight: Maintain a big-picture perspective by monitoring target achievements and implementing the right strategies to reach our OKRs and KPIs effectively. Oversee the reporting of KPIs and milestones to the executive team, providing insights that inform decision-making.
  • Fundraising Support: Directly assist in fundraising efforts by preparing investor-related documents and supporting the executive team in outreach and communication with potential investors.
  • Spearhead Communication: Lead company-wide communication efforts to ensure all teams are aligned and on track to achieve overarching company goals.
  • Process Improvement: Critically assess, analyze, and enhance existing processes to maximize efficiency. Collaborate with the team to build world-class operational systems that contribute to a smoothly running organization.
  • Project Management: Take ownership of multiple projects from day one, demonstrating adaptability and initiative across various functions to drive results and achieve business objectives.
  • Lead Financial Planning: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking across various departments to ensure financial health and operational efficiency.
  • Excel Mastery: Utilize your advanced Excel skills to prepare insightful reports and create dashboards and automations
  • Monthly Investor Reporting: Compile and present monthly reports on company-wide success and progress to keep investors informed and engaged.

Requirements

🧠 You love to work autonomously and are self-motivated, able to tackle different challenges and adapt to a constantly changing and highly demanding work environment. At the same time, you are competitive and results-focused, understand KPIs and are driven to smash targets.

  • Experience: 1-2 years work experience in Business Operations in a start-up or high-growth environment
  • Qualification: Bachelor in Business Administration or related field from a top university (Master is a plus!)
  • Languages: English is mandatory; good German understanding is necessary (B2 min.)
  • Problem Solver: You can break complex problems into smaller ones and enjoy working with data to facilitate your work using such tools as Excel. You can make a good business case and convince people to help you execute
  • Business Operator at heart: Creating from scratch excites you. Figuring out how to solve problems is one of your favourite activities. Building, scaling, and rapidly iterating upon software is what keeps you going
  • Effective communication: Concise written and verbal communication. Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and effectively communicate across teams
  • Proactive: You prioritize what needs to be done and rally colleagues to get things accomplished; “roll up the sleeves” type of attitude

  • After reviewing your documents we will get back to you and schedule an Intro Call where you learn about tozero, our mission and the team. We get to know you and understand your motivation.
  • Prior to the next session you will receive a case study to work on. This part is important to us to assess your cultural and business fit for the role. Your case will then be challenged by our CEO Sarah in the second interview.
  • In the third interview, you will talk to Ksenija our CTO and we will evaluate your fit to our company culture (culture, values, working style, etc..).
  • If all parties are happy we will make you an offer and you can start right away.
