Infrastructure and Network Specialist - Emden

Our customer in the automotive industry has initiated a carve-out project to transition an existing unit into an independent company. As part of this project, SAP and non-SAP systems will be partially rebuilt, adapted, and implemented to meet the requirements of the new organization.

To support this initiative, we are seeking an experienced Infrastructure and Network Specialist for SAP and non-SAP Systems. This is a full-time role with an occasional on-site presence in Hanover. The expected project duration is 6–12 months, with the possibility of extension.

• Support design, setup, and configuration of network and server infrastructure to support the carve-out. Ensure the infrastructure meets both security and performance standards.
• Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure network architectures that enable seamless connectivity between SAP and non-SAP systems in the new organization.
• Assist in the migration of infrastructure components (servers, networks, etc.) from the legacy system to the new infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Continuously monitor the performance of the infrastructure and networks, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with the IT Security Expert to ensure that network and infrastructure security protocols are aligned with overall project security measures. Support the deployment of firewalls, VPNs, and other security tools.
• Provide hands-on support for network and infrastructure issues, troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity problems during and after the carve-out.
• Work closely with other project teams (including SAP consultants, business analysts, and vendors) to ensure that infrastructure and network solutions align with the project's goals.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all infrastructure setups, network configurations, and system migrations. Ensure clear, accurate records of all configurations and changes.Change Management: Support the change management process, ensuring that any modifications to the infrastructure or network configurations are properly reviewed and documented

• At least 7 years of experience in infrastructure and network management, with a strong background in large-scale IT projects and system migrations.
• Proficiency in network design, configuration, and troubleshooting, firewalls, routing/switching, and SD-WAN.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies to support the flexible infrastructure requirements of the carve-out.
• Experience with integrating and migrating complex systems, including SAP and non-SAP solutions, ensuring seamless interoperability between legacy and new environments.
• Familiarity with security standards, protocols, and best practices, with experience in integrating security measures into infrastructure and network designs.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and experience resolving infrastructure and network-related issues in a complex, multi-system environment.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams on large-scale transformation or carve-out projects, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Languages: Fluent in English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of German is a plus.
