YOUR TEAM

Our vehicle data delivery team is is looking for an intern/ working student to collaborate with experts in AI, machine learning, and data engineering, working with cutting-edge technologies.

The Vehicle and Cloud Platform at Volkswagen Group comprises groundbreaking products like VW.OS, our next-generation in-vehicle software platform, which powers online automotive services. We are responsible for building a robust, scalable data platform that enables efficient vehicle data collection.

We focus on developing platform capabilities that support AI functions such as pattern recognition, anomaly detection, and advanced analytics using LLMs and other ML techniques.

Join us ny utilizing machine learning model knowledge in shaping the future of data-driven development in CARIAD and across all Volkswagen brands, driving innovations and connected car ecosystems the VW Automotive Cloud.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Work on the setup and optimization of our data pipelines, ensuring efficient delivery of vehicle data for AI and machine learning applications
  • Develop and optimize models for analysis and classification of vehicle data, focusing on LLMs, pattern recognition, and anomaly detection
  • Collaborate with the tech team to bring the models from development to production, managing the full end-to-end process
  • Contribute to defining our AI product roadmap, focusing on practical applications of machine learning and LLMs in the automotive industry
  • Conduct research, develop experiments, and regularly report findings to your supervisor
WHO YOU ARE
  • Enrolled in a Master's program in Computer Science, Data Science, or a equivalent field.
  • Proficient knowledge of Python and machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow, with hands-on experience in LLMs and deep learning models
  • Experience with data engineering tools and cloud platforms, particularly Databricks (a big plus)
  • Knowledge of containerized technology (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud environments (Azure preferred)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment of models
  • Excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and a passion for cutting-edge technologies in AI and machine learning
