This hybrid role report into the Global Transportation & Logistics Manager based in Canada.
As Trojan Technologies Logistics & Distribution Lead, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the logistics process, from procurement to distribution throughout HGM.
Your primary focus will be to setting 3PL and warehouse strategy. Streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and ensure seamless coordination between various departments involved in the supply chain and ensuring our customers receive product across the globe in the most efficient way possible.You will work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and clients to meet operational goals and deliver exceptional customer service and bridge communications between our global vendors, manufacturing facilities and future distribution centers.

What will you do in the job:
Involving development and implementation of logistics & distribution strategies, policies, and procedures to improve operational efficiency and meet company objectives.- Oversee the entire supply chain process, including transportation and distribution.
- Conduct regular audits of logistics processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
- Collaborate with the IT department to identify and implement technology solutions, such as transportation management systems (TMS) or warehouse management systems (WMS), to streamline logistics operations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in logistics to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Train, educate and mentor (virtual) junior logistic coordinators, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Qualifikation
You bring:
A min of Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.- Fluent in both German and English
- 8+ years in logistics operations, preferably in a senior or supervisory role (though is job doesn't have any managerial responsibilities).
- Strong knowledge and experience of (international) logistics and supply chain concepts, including procurement, transportation, warehousing, 3PL and inventory management.
- Familiarity with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation.
- Proficient in using logistics software and technology, such as TMS, WMS, or ERP systems.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on process improvement and cost reduction.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and clients.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
- Well experienced with virtual working and flexibility to travel within German speaking area of Europe and one a year to Canada (office base London, Canada to your reporting manager)
- This position is a hybrid role, candidate is currently living in the Frankfurt area and is willing to travel to suppliers or similar related to this job
