People & Compliance Manager (German speaking)

The role you’ll play
In this exciting role you will be responsible for all related to people compliance for the LanguageWire offices in DACH, US and UK. You will be part of the People & Compliance team in the newest technology (AI) industry. You will have the opportunity to work closely with leaders and employees in your regions advising and helping them in various matters related to employment terms, policies, contracts, vacations, payroll etc.On top of that, an essential task as being Office Coordinator for our Hamburg office also lies with this role. You will be joining a very cool team who truly knows how to work and support each other every step of their way. The People & Compliance team is part of the People department, which also includes People & Culture and People Communications. Your team members will be spread between Valencia, Spain and Copenhagen, Denmark.
If you want to make a difference, make it with us by...- Being a trustworthy support for your stakeholders by ensuring legal compliance in handling people related inquiries
- Preparing legal documents independently (contracts, addendums, warnings, terminations etc.) and knowing when the different documents are needed
- Preparing or updating employment records related to hiring, transfer, promotion, and termination processes
- Making sure our systems always reflect how the organization operates
- Working and acting in compliance with our internal processes and guidelines for newcomers, leavers, employees going or returning from leave
- Making sure our payroll providers receive the right input within the deadline
- Jump on and assist in solving various administrative tasks related to the people field
- Proudly playing the role of making sure the office in Hamburg is running and that the employees there get a good experience coming to the office
- Feel comfortable with the overall legal terms for the regions you support and can give leaders the correct guidance on the matters
- Play an active role in our team when we work on cross-border People projects
- Contribute to making our ongoing processes and policies even better
Desired experience and competencies
What does it take to work for LanguageWire?
What you’ll need to bring- A true interest in working within the People function and motivation to participate in projects with the other teams in the People department.
- Experience with employment terms and law in Germany.
- A structured approach with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- You have experience working in an HR system, like SAGE, and find it interesting to work with the team in integrating the system even more in our people processes.
- You are proactive and find knowledge sharing important, as we constantly improve the way we work by focusing on working smarter.
- A high level of proficiency in English and German, enabling seamless communication in an international and multicultural setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to build meaningful connections with colleagues and stakeholders.
- An eagerness to take ownership of tasks, showing initiative and responsibility in all aspects of your role.
- A positive mindset, a can-do attitude, and the ability to remain adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in the People function in an international organization
- Experience with HR GDPR will be an advantage
