Group Leader (m/f/d) biocatalysis/protein chemistry
The Chair of Chemistry of Biogenic Resources at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) at its Cam-pus Straubing for Biotechnology and Sustainability is engaged in research and teaching in the devel-opment of biotechnological approaches for the production of bulk and fine chemicals, biopolymers and fuels from biogenic resources, hydrogen and CO2.We are looking for a highly qualified and moti-vated scientist (m/f/d).
The field of activity
o Scientific and organizational support of current research projects with coordination of national and international project partners, e.g. in the topic of biocatalytic C1 conversion, development of en-zyme cascades or enzyme engineering
o Supervision of doctoral students, master's students and interns
o Independent research on topics related to the chair
o Independent teaching in selected lectures and practical courses
o Scientific publishing and writing research of research proposals
o Supporting the laboratory management in the processes of the laboratory
Your profile
o Above-average Master's degree and doctorate in biochemistry, bioprocess engineering, chemistry, biology or related
o Experience in the field of biocatalysis, protein chemistry, enzyme engineering or related fields
o Experience in the field of bioinformatics or the application of bioinformatics tools is an advantage
o Experience with the publication of research results and writing of project applications
o Scientific curiosity, ability to work in a team and self-motivated working style, excellent organiza-tional skills and willingness to take on responsibility
