Vice President, Capital Markets (m/w/d)

With the effective deconsolidation from Fresenius, we are currently building up a new Corporate Finance and Global Treasury Team and are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President.
Corporate Finance and Global Treasury is a strategic enabler of sustainable growth for Fresenius Medical Care and divided into four teams: Capital Markets, Capital Advisory, Treasury Centers, and Treasury Operations. Through effective risk mitigation and proactive financial decision-making, we empower our global operations to thrive in a dynamic business environment.
As the Vice President Capital Markets, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing critical activities within the department. You will build a global team for the optimization of the FME Group's financing structure, creditor relations and ensuring the first-class execution of financial and hedging transactions.Being the Vice President Capital Markets, the incumbent will build and develop strong, productive relationships with all key internal (e.g., CFO community, FP&A, Accounting, etc.) and external stakeholders (e.g., banks, investors, etc.). The role will be based in Bad Homburg, Germany.
Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of four.
- Responsible for creditor relations and liaison with Investor Relations.
- Analyze financing requirements, advise on optimal financing mix, responsible for ESG topics.
- Develop the Group’s bank strategy and manage bank relationships.
- Execution of any kind of long-term financing transaction (e.g., bonds, Schuldschein, term loans).
- Oversee trading activities for hedging risk exposures, deposits, short-term borrowings, etc.
- Manage the short-term liquidity together with Treasury Operations.
- Negotiate any kind of financing agreements with banks and setting up the legal framework for trading activities.
- Prepare management and supervisory board approvals for financing topics.
- Business studies (Master's degree or diploma) with a focus on finance or accounting or a related field. MBA or advanced finance-related certification (CFA, CPA) is highly preferred.
- Proven experience of at least six years in executing financing transactions.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
- High level of interpersonal and intercultural competence as well as strong integration skills.
- Experience in negotiating external contracts and agreements.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities with the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to lead and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent command of both written & spoken English.
