We are looking for a Multinational Network Governance Expert (m/f/d), based in Munich.

Our team led by the Global Head of Network Management and Multinational Governance is committed to technical excellence, ensuring compliance, and mitigating risks in respect of Multinational business written by Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty.

Through collaboration, expertise and continuous learning, we drive positive change, streamline Multinational related processes and uphold the highest standards of Multinational governance.

The Impact You Will Have

This role involves the responsibility of overseeing and managing the global Multinational governance processes. As part of this role, you will actively oversee adherence to and implementation of the corporate rules and guidelines related to International P&C Business, working closely with senior stakeholders at Allianz Group and Allianz Commercial, including other governance functions such as Global Underwriting Integrity & Solutions (UWIS) and Multinational Solutions.

Your main tasks will include establishing a robust global Multinational Governance Framework including Multinational business reviews, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, mitigating risks and promoting ethical business practices for business written by AGCS legal entities and subsidiaries.

Some of your specific responsibilities may include:

  • Maintain Multinational relevant guidelines such as Functional Rules, Operating Guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures and their associated business reviews.
  • Coordinate Network Partner due diligence review process. This would review activities established to monitor and assess any potential concerns with operational, legal, financial and reputational risks related to our multinational network.
  • Designing, explaining and maintaining agreements of Leading Operating Entity (LOE) Treaty Reinsurance Facility Agreements.
  • Designing, explaining and maintaining agreements of Servicing Operating Entity (SOE) Treaty Reinsurance Facilities and Fronting Service Framework Agreements.
  • Conduct review of required reinsurance documentation and support tool adjustments and adherence.
  • Review of our Network Partner strategy and onboarding process in collaboration with the Network Management team.
  • Participating in Line of Business (LOB) business reviews within AGCS that contain Multinational related questions.
  • SOE overrider steering and application of revised model.
  • Ensure Multinational specific topics are reflected accurately in other relevant guidelines and Functional Rules, such as Underwriting Standard and LOB Functional Rules, working closely with Global Underwriting Integrity & Solutions (UWIS) and Global LOBs.
  • Develop and deliver training programs and communications in collaboration with our Multinational Academy to raise awareness of governance principles and policies within the organization.
  • Design and execute a holistic Multinational Business Review Framework, focusing on wording governance and adherence to functional rules within AGCS entities (covering LOE and SOE), ensuring alignment with relevant functions such as Underwriting, Multinational, Operations, Claims etc.
  • Collaborate with UWIS to ensure Multinational specifics are embedded in the Underwriting Governance Framework. This includes reflecting Multinational elements as part of:
  • the global concept of Underwriting authority and referral grids, involving local, regional, and global levels across all commercial Lines of Business.
  • the Underwriting Business Review Framework.
  • the Underwriting Standard and Functional Rule(s).
  • Collaborate with other Allianz Commercial governance functions (e.g. Claims) to ensure Multinational Large-Corp-specific elements are reflected in the wider Allianz Commercial governance framework.

What You´ll Bring to the Role

Given the significance of this Multinational transformation and the seniority of the stakeholders involved, this role requires seniority and expertise in Multinational business (Underwriting, Claims and operational processes). By leveraging your experience and skills in Multinational business, you will expand on the existing set-up of a robust Multinational governance structure and effective governance practices in a friendly, professional, and collaborative manner.

  • University degree in economics, business, actuarial studies, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Solid background and expertise in Multinational (MN) business, with a strong focus on Underwriting (UW) processes and Governance.
  • Proven experience in governance, reinsurance, risk management and compliance roles, preferably in a complex organization such as Allianz.
  • Clear understanding of, and experience with, governance bodies and international corporate governance requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of Multinational principles and practices, laws and regulations, including policy and project management, communities of practice and networks.
  • Ability to review data, identify trends and mitigate risk by recommending improvements.
  • Excellent written, oral communication and facilitation skills, with ability to effectively convey complex concepts and ideas.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management, with the ability to drive and implement organizational changes. Additionally, experience in project steering would be advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English, both in writing and speaking, to ensure clear and effective communication within an international environment. Additional languages would be an advantage.
