We are a research, development, and production site in Bremen, currently with about 500 employees, whose “high-end” measurement and analysis instruments (mass spectrometers) are used in research and science worldwide. Our innovative products in the fields of Life Sciences MS and Inorganic MS, as well as Trace Elemental Analysis, are among the leading products globally in their respective markets.

A day in the Life:
- Your tasks and responsibilities will be diverse and exciting, with the opportunity to engage in development projects across multiple sites worldwide.
- You will be the scientific lead within a highly skilled team of engineers and scientists and project managers playing a vital role in Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) projects aiming for product cost improvement of our world leading Life Science Mass Spectrometers.
- You will guide the team in all scientific questions and support the team in making technical decisions and will closely collaborate with scientists and engineers of our global research and product development teams and basically act as the key interface between the VAVE team and the instrument development teams.
- You will work together with verification & validation (V&V) scientists to develop test plans, analyze data and assess test results. You will also interact with decision makers from other functions such as Production, Sourcing, Quality and Product Management to contribute to the product cost improvement goals of our organization.
- Embody a culture of continuous learning with respect to technology and applications; maintaining a hands-on approach with respect to product, product development and driving market adoption
- University degree, ideally doctoral degree in technical field, showcasing your expertise and dedication in the field
- Track record of several years of industrial experience in development of sophisticated analytic instrumentation
- Expert knowledge of scientific principles in mass spectrometry
- Excellent analytical skills and quick learning, thrive in a high paced work environment
- Agile, creative thinking and a growth mindset, encouraging a culture of continuous learning and improvement, passion to overcome boundaries in technology
- Proficient in English, knowledge of German is an advantage
