We are currently looking for a results-driven, target-oriented Sales & Technical Manager, with a solid technical background in Food Technology or Science and
  • a significant experience in Sales (5/7 years) in Germany and German speaking countries.
  • The candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and lead generation, to negotiation and deals’ closing.
  • office/ 2 days homeoffice based.
Tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers, understand their needs, and explain the technical aspects of your products products in a clear and compelling manner;
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the German food industry market, including trends, competitors and potential customers, to identify new opportunities and adapt to market changes;
  • Ability in relationship-building, to build trust and provide technical support to establish and maintain long-term partnerships with clients;
  • A problem-solving mindset to address technical challenges and find solutions for customers. This includes troubleshooting product issues and proposing improvements;
  • The flexibility to adapt to changes in market conditions, customer preferences, and new products, joined with the ability to quickly learn and understand emerging technologies and innovations in the field
  • Proficiency in sales techniques, such as prospecting, lead generation, negotiation, and closing deals.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with the existing sales team and other departments within the company, such as technical support and customer service.
  • Fluency in German. Proficiency in English is often necessary for international business interactions and for internal communication with all colleagues in our Group.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in food technologis science or a related discipline, to ensure understanding and therefore effectiveness in promoting the products and their applications;
  • in-depth knowledge of raw materials used in the food industry, preferably with comprehension of the food supply chain and its specific requirements;
  • Proven successful track record in B2B sales of raw materials used in the food industry, including those segments where hydrocolloids are used. Familiarity with industry regulations and standards is a significant advantage;
  • Strong technical understanding of the chemistry, properties and applications of the ingredients mostly used for food preparation. The ability to discuss product specifications, quality standards and usage with customers is essential.
