We are looking for a highly motivated, ambitious, and experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead and enhance our European operations. This role is a key strategic position responsible for optimizing, expanding, and streamlining our supply chain processes across Europe.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, logistics, procurement, and supplier relationship management.
As a Supply Chain Manager, you will work in close collaboration with our global supply chain network, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies while driving efficiency, cost savings, and operational excellence at a regional level. You will be responsible for overseeing inventory management, demand forecasting, supplier negotiations, and implementing best practices to improve overall supply chain performance.

- Leads material review board (MRB) in collaboration with QA and takes necessary action with suppliers who demonstrate consistent poor quality.
- Develop supplier scorecard as a tool to measure performance.
- Coordinates customer supplier quality assurance audits (SQA) and support continuous improvement by providing support to our suppliers on Lean techniques and processes.
- Develop relationships/partnerships with suppliers domestic/international to ensure the value chain is not disrupted and minimize any material shortages to support Nikkiso customers.
- Establishes key performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain, supplier on time performance, first pass yield, delivery, and corrective actions.
- Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, at sites, and in the factory.
- Maintains required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production.
- Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
- Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.
- Experienced supply chain lean practitioner utilizing Kanban, pull signals, kitting for assembly, KPI’s for operations such as schedule attainment, inventory turns, and cycle count accuracy.
- Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution.
- Assesses the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
- Negotiates (SLA’s) Service Level Agreements/Domestic and International. Turnkey product expectation of suppliers ready for use out of box/bag to prevent any further processing.
- Negotiates prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.
- Participates as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials.
- Acts as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.
- Identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifikationen:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Five years of experience as a supervisor, manager, or similar relevant position required.
- Solid experience in global supply chain management.
- Strong experience in global sourcing (souring experience in China is necessary!).
- Business minded attitude, with good planning and analytic skills.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills that inspire people, integrity in all that you do, accountability of self and others, sense of urgency, proactive, problem solving skills, and can provide clear direction to staff and management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
