Senior Researcher Mechatronics (m/f/x)
Next-Gen Tools
The advanced mechatronics research team is responsible to develop proof-of-concepts for new products and services for the organization, leveraging diverse areas of expertise in the field of mechatronics, sensing, control, algorithms, actuators and machine learning for power tools.In this role you will contribute towards bringing innovation into the next generation of Hilti’s tool portfolio. Through cooperation with business units as well as academia, your ideas can bring customer value in the mid-long term.
Possibility to work less than 40 hrs./week (min. 32 hrs./week).
What You’ll Bring- Proven experience with advanced control theory, state estimation and systems thinking
- PhD or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Applied Mathematics/Physics, or related field.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in industry or academia
- Proficiency in embedded systems, electronics and prototyping beneficial, experience in machine learning beneficial
- Strong project management skills as well as excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Collaborative mindset, business acumen and curiosity
- Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage
