The Position

Are you a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of market access strategies for pharmaceutical products? Do you have a knack for leading teams with a customer-centric approach? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a dynamic and experienced Market Access Senior Manager with strong commercial experience in the Therapeutic Area Inflammation to join our diverse and innovative team.

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the market access strategy for our major brands within the TA Inflammation. Your expertise in understanding payers and healthcare systems, generating evidence to demonstrate product value, value-based pricing, and delivering sustainable patient access solutions will be pivotal in this role.

You will also develop financial and operational objectives that align with our management goals and priorities.

Tasks & responsibilities
  • Step into the shoes of a key representative of Market Access, where your voice echoes in the corridors of decision-making. Reporting directly to the Head Global Market Access TA Inflammation, you'll ensure payer needs are always in the spotlight.
  • Get ready to unleash your innovative spirit in shaping our pricing, market access, and early commercial strategies. You'll be the mastermind behind optimizing our development plans and value packages, creating maximum value for our customers and ensuring optimal patient access.
  • Embrace the challenge of generating evidence that secures optimal market and commercial access, successful HTA assessments, optimal pricing, reimbursement, and formulary listing for our products on a global scale.
  • Dive into the world of product development, providing valuable insights to inform the development of our early and core Target Product Profile (TPP), and the clinical development plan of our pipeline compounds.
  • Take the lead in capturing the patient perspective in our clinical trial program. By ensuring relevant Patient, Intervention, Comparator, and Outcomes (PICOs), new patient-reported outcome (PRO) or Clinical Outcomes Assessment (CoA) measurement strategies are captured, you'll help us better understand and meet the needs of our patients. Plus, you'll get to interact with regulatory authorities and collaborate closely with other functions.
  • Leverage your expertise to guide the development of optimized value and access strategy assessments, launch readiness plans, evidence and gap analysis, including multi-indication strategies.
  • Picture yourself at the helm of key Value and Access deliverables. You'll be crafting compelling payer value stories, devising early launch plans, developing payer engagement tools, Global Value Dossiers (GVDs), economic models, and real-world evidence (RWE) data for our esteemed Boehringer products.
  • Finally, yet importantly, imagine forging and nurturing meaningful partnerships. You'll be connecting with payers, academic research institutions, contract research organizations, and other thought leaders.
Requirements
  • Graduate degree in a passion-fueling field such as Business, Economics, Health Economics, Medicine, Pharmacy, Finance, Natural Sciences or related discipline
  • Proven expertise in leading strategic work in Value and Access, Health Economics, or Pricing for innovative pharmaceutical products
  • Experience in navigating and influencing in a complex, global environment
  • Deep understanding of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA) impact on economic and value models
  • Background in immunology and/or oncology as a valuable asset
  • Mature leadership skills, ability to inspire and guide teams, and a proactive attitude to take on challenges and drive results
  • Highly motivated team player ready to take on challenges and drive results
  • Proficiency in English is a must, German language skills would be a valuable asset
