You will be working on new experiences for millions of customers, such as enabling seamless refunds. You will lead the technical vision and development of modern Java/Spring Boot based web applications by developing system designs, defining application architecture, contributing to the technical roadmap, guiding the team on all technical aspects, and implementing code.
You will report to a Sr. Manager of engineering, as well as work closely with the wider engineering team of the new engineering hub. It’s a unique opportunity to be part of a new team based on a collaborative, transparent and highly technical team culture.
What you will accomplish: Contribute to architecture, design and development of scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions. Create design documents and technical specifications for key projects. Develop and maintain server-side applications using Java and SpringBoot.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, following coding standards and guidelines. Conduct and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency. Work closely with product managers, and other engineers to deliver features and improvements.
Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system issues. What you will bring: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar technical degree, with 9+ years of experience designing and developing highly scalable web applications.
Proven experience building scalable backend systems with Java / Spring Boot. Although not a requirement, familiarity with or strong proficiency in front-end technologies, particularly JavaScript, Node.js, and React.js will be a plus. Experience building RESTful APIs and implementing microservices architectures.
