The position will be based in our Clarios EMEA headquarters office in Hannover, Germany. Your contribution: What you will doAs Payroll Specialist EMEA (m/f/d) you will be responsible for the administration of payroll for several countries in the EMEA region. You will ensure accurate and compliant payroll in cooperation with local payroll providers. You will serve as a partner and play a key role in maintaining payroll accuracy in order to provide excellent service to our employees in the EMEA region.
Your responsibilities: How you will do it
- Provide overall payroll support for multiple countries in the EMEA region, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments
- Ensure compliance with country-specific payroll regulations, tax laws and social security requirements in cooperation with the local payroll providers
- Work with local payroll providers to capture and validate payroll inputs, including salaries, benefits, allowances and deductions
- Verification of payroll calculations, including statutory deductions, for the respective countries
- Coordinating payments in various banking systems
- Processing payroll inquiries from employees, managers and HR business partners on payroll-related and time management issues in various countries
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate employee data management and seamless payroll integration
- Advise and support the HR and Finance teams on payroll processes and reporting
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of payroll system upgrades or enhancements and external payroll vendors
- Coordinate year-end payroll processes
- Completed apprenticeship in business/administrative field
- First work experience in Payroll, with focus on payroll in several countries in the EMEA region
- Experience in working with local payroll vendors and managing relationships with external vendors
- Solid knowledge of EMEA payroll laws, tax regulations social security requirements, knowledge of benefit regulations throughout EMEA countries is a bonus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling complex payroll scenarios across multiple countries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to be able to perform complex payroll calculations and reconciliations
- High level of flexibility and ability to work independently
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- High level of initiative and ability to work diligently under deadline pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
- Fluent in German and English
