Our client is a renowned confectionery company based in Germany, offering a work environment where craftsmanship meets modern production techniques, making it an exciting opportunity for those passionate about the food industry.
We are currently seeking a Factory Manager / Industrial Manager to join their team in Magdeburg in Germany.
This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of specific manufacturing processes (confectionery).- PLEASE NOTE THAT AT LEAST B2 LEVEL GERMAN IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE -
Requirements
Job Description:
- Hire, train and supervise production employees, such as packers and equipment operators and technical team, such as maintenance technicians
- Create work schedules, assign tasks and coordinate manufacturing activities
- Allocate resources, such as equipment and personnel, to maintain production standards
- Control manufacturing costs and identify ways to reduce them
- Evaluate employees' performance and coach the team
- Collaborate with quality control team to ensure finished goods meet quality standards. This includes also participating in audits from third parties
- Monitor production output and adjust processes as necessary to meet deadlines
- Provide training and resources to ensure production and maintenance teams understand safety protocols
- Review and audit production processes to identify strategies for improvement
- Make decisions related to production, such as staffing and scheduling decisions
- Prepare production reports for senior management
- Supervise middle managers such as production, maintenance managers.
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience in similar role and experience in confectionery (candies) of minimum 3 years.
- Understanding of external standards including IFS & retailers code of practice.
- A passion for delivering results and the drive to exceed expectations.
- High attention to detail.
- Systematic problem solving.
- Computer Literate in all Microsoft packages. Experience with ERP.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Fluent in German and English.
