Your key responsibilities.
SFS Project and Structured Finance Debt-EA (SFS PS EA) is one of the four large Business Units at SFS. Its role is to provide debt finance for the Europe and Asia-Australia regions, mainly through Siemens Bank. SFS PS EA is also committed to have a diverse workforce and an inclusive working environment.
As a Portfolio Manager (f/m/d) you will contribute and support the risk assessment and our Risk and Senior Risk Managers in the Project Finance EMEA business as follows:
- ...in the comprehensive new transaction risk analysis for international large value project finance and infrastructure loan transactions with a focus on the European market and provide structuring support to the Origination team
- ...in the management of the underwriting and execution process in liaison with various experts in the transaction team (e.g. Rating, Legal, Tax, Compliance, Asset Management, Operations)
- ...in the evaluation of transactions from a risk/return perspective, implement lending authority and present applications to SFS/Siemens Bank Management and Committees
Furthermore, the role will include the following tasks:
- Supervise and manage existing transactions in the portfolio (including assessment of requests for waivers and amendments)
- Perform training and coaching of Junior Portfolio Managers, when and if appropriate. Ensuring reporting, data and process quality in the loan business is also part of your responsibilities
- University degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Risk, Economics or similar. Completion of a formal bank credit program would be a distinct advantage
- You have developed a good financial expertise and have the capability to assess large value transactions, associated risks and perform transaction analysis
- You have collected at least 1.5 - 2 years of professional experience in projects and ideally project financing in the fields of Energy or Infrastructure
- Moreover, you have sound knowledge of risk management processes/tools, financial modelling as well as documentation and legal aspects of finance
- Your intercultural sensitivity helps you to collaborate effectively with colleagues and partners in an international environment
- You are highly motivated, you possess an analytical approach and strong presentation skills. You enjoy working independently as well as in teams, and you possess the skills to handle highly time-sensitive projects
- Because of your driven and responsible personality, you are able to balance risk and growth requirements
- Highly proficient English language skills round off your profile, other languages are a plus
- 2 to 3 days of mobile working per week as a global standard
