What you’ll do

The role involves defining, owning, and implementing a strategic employee relations roadmap for Io T in close collaboration with the Io T Works Council. This includes managing employee relations in Germany by liaising with Io T HR Business Partners, functional managers, entity directors, and Works Councils to influence and facilitate organizational changes.

The HR Manager will support all Io T functions in understanding the employee relations implications of these changes, guiding HRBPs and business leaders to align with the local Works Council. As a member of the Io T HR team, the role also provides HRBP support to ILT members and leads a functional HR area globally, such as organizational design and effectiveness, which will be phased in once the Io T Legal Entity in Germany is established.

Who you are
  • Define, own and implement strategic employee relations roadmap for Io T in close collaboration with the Io T Works Council.
  • Provides expertise in all Employee Relations matters, building strong and productive relationships with the Works Council whilst balancing the needs of the business functions.
  • Provides feedback and coaching to the functional managers to ensures all people managers are equipped to drive initiatives thoughtfully, in compliance with German employment law.
  • Negotiate, implement and develop Io T Works Council agreements incl. labour law, work infrastructure conditions, contractual terms and conditions as well as co-determination aspects.
  • Work closely with the local Germany HR and Employee Relations team to provide an Employee Experience which is where needed aligned to other Vodafone entities.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

  • Experience dealing with Works Councils on a regular basis
  • Good breadth of Employee Relations experience & HR experience; specialist & generalist
  • Strong relationship & coaching skills; strong communicator (written and verbal)
  • International experience ideally working for large, global, matrixed blue chip organisations
  • Data driven, proactive

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

  • Fluent in German language
  • German labour law & Works Constitution Act
