The Connectivity and Unified Communication department sees automation as key to keeping pace with the rapid evolution of our business and ensuring reliable, repeatable and consistent IT quality. You will introduce cloud-native operational approaches in the department and drive service delivery towards self-service platforms.You see yourself as both a technical expert and an enabler for automation within the department and help your colleagues to evolve into the topic of automation.
You will be independantly working Cloud, Network & UC Automation Expert with the following tasks:
- Design and develop automation for Connectivity, Network Security. Unified Communication Services and 24/7 Service Monitoring & Control services
- Create technical concepts and solutions according to business requirements
- Implement and integrate APIs for external and internal systems
- Collaboratively work with Network, Unfied communication, Infrastructure domain automation experts and application teams to define APIs and data models
- Take responsibility for high code quality and long-term maintainable software
- Ensure high product reliability, stability, scalability and security
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions
- Drive automation, e.g., testing, observability and deployments
Experience:
- Experience as a Automation Engineer, Platform Engineer or similar role
- Experience in software development (preferable Python or Go)
- Experience with designing and developing scalable cloud-based solutions with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code environments & tooling such as (but not limited to) Terraform, Azure Devops, GitOps
- Experience with API development and integration
- Experience with unit testing and testing frameworks (Pytest, Terratest)
- General understanding of data protection, data security and governance
- Experience in working within an agile environment
- Self-organization, team collaboration, agile mindset, problem solving, positive attitude and high motivation
- Good communication skills in English and German
- Inspires and motivates others demonstrating drive and passion
- Experience in working International multi-disciplinary and multi-site development teams
- Innovative problem solving skills
- Self-reliant and able to work to own initiatives
- Ability to work under pressure - patient, tolerant and resilient
- Results orientated
- Good interpersonal skills including cultural and ethical awareness
- Experience in managing 3rd party providers
- Business fluent in English and German and willingness to travel
