About the role
As the HR Operations Manager (m/w/d), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution and introduction of local HR processes and policies within our organization. You will serve as the bridge between our local HR business partners in Germany and our People Services hub (shared service center) in Poland, overseeing and optimizing operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with local regulations and company standards.
Responsibilities- Operational Excellence:
- Manage the day-to-day HR operations locally and coordinate the seamless hire2retire cycle for a great employee experience, e.g. payroll, benefits execution, HR administration and HR data quality, HR reporting, vendor management, etc.
- Develop and implement streamlined processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness, e.g. build connection of local processes to payroll processes, local compensation & benefits principles, etc.
- Develop and deliver training programs for HR staff and managers on HR processes, systems, and best practices.
- Work with key HR metrics and analyze data to identify trends, address issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for local HR-related queries and escalations within HR (local, global, People Services and external vendors).
- Ensure communication on changes in HR policies, procedures, and regulations effectively to relevant stakeholders and ensure compliance across the board.
- Foster strong cross-team collaboration between HR business partners in Germany and the shared service center in Poland, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
- Provide training and ongoing coaching to internal HR members / People Services on local HR related tasks and country specifics relevant for operations management.
- Work closely with works council in Germany to administer and enhance works council-/company agreements, fostering positive working relationships and ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Stay abreast of local regulations, and compliance requirements in Germany, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to mitigate HR-related risks and maintain a culture of compliance within the organization.
- Ensure data integrity and security protocols are in place, conducting regular audits and reviews as necessary. Coordinate audit requests for HR incl. managing stakeholder and employee requests.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (if not studied certificate in Personalfachkaufleute IHK or Personalfachwirt IHK)
- Proven experience (5-7 years) as HR generalist plus project management, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Strong understanding of HR processes, systems, and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration and stakeholder management skills to develop innovative solutions for complex, cross-team HR challenges and within the DACH region.
- Knowledge of labor law, German payroll, works council regulations and first experience in works council cooperation.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Experience with HRIS like Workday, SAP, implementation and management is desirable.
