Process Engineer (m/f/d)
As part of the Straumann Group, the world's leading provider in the field of implant-supported and restorative prosthetics, we at etkon Gmb H develop and produce high-quality dental prostheses using state-of-the-art CADCAM technologies. Etkon Gmb H produces at the Markkleeberg site near Leipzig, while our development site is located in Gräfelfing near Munich.
The aim of the Straumann Group is to improve the well-being of millions of people by developing innovative products in dentistry. To this end, we develop, manufacture and supply dental implants, transparent splints for tooth correction, CADCAM prosthetics and biomaterials for use in aesthetic dentistry, for tooth replacement and restoration solutions or to prevent tooth loss and much more.
What we are looking for:To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Process / Product Engineer, who will help us improve the production process in terms of efficiency, quality, costs, safety and workplace ergonomics. Your role will include new products and processes development, assuring process compliance with applicable standards and instructions and, of course, spreading of culture of continuous improvement and development.
Your tasks:
- Support and further development of specialized manufacturing strategies from an economic, quality, optimization point of view. Initiating and implementing of process improvements
- Tracking trends and new developments with a view to continuously improve productivity
- Introduce & maintain quality built in process and standardized problem-solving
- Implement advance quality planning (QVP's) and impact analyses (FMEA's)
- Validate plans and processes
- Introduce of new processes and support all production sites during the implementation of new machines and technologies. Prepare instruction and surveillance
- Independently implement projects (evaluation of systems and machine technology, be the local contact person for design transfer projects as well as technology transfers)
- Cooperate closely with R&D and international project teams
- Participate and lead Engineering Projects
- Validate Software changes
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or above (Automatics and Robotics, Mechanical Engineering preferred)
- At least 3 years of professional experience in the field of engineering (Automotive or Medical Branch)
- Strong skills in process and data analysis
- Good CADCAM knowledge
- Good knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485; Ideally, knowledge of the regulations of the FDA
- Experienced handling of common PC software (MS Office applications, CAD software)
- Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
- Knowledge of machining production
- Good command of written and spoken English and German
- Analytical and process-oriented thinking, practical knowledge of problem-solving tools
- High degree of ability to work in an interdisciplinary, intercultural team
- Ability to communicate/deal with conflict
- Ability to perform in a fast-changing environment
- Duty travel will be required
