Position Summary:
R + D engineer with focus on software development on non-contact (optical) metrology system
We’re looking for a technically skilled person for the development of non-contact (optics) metrology solutions for the manufacturing of ultra high precision machine parts and optical components.Emphasis of the offered job is on the development and maintenance of software with a strong link to the implementation and utilization of it on the metrology systems. The systems uses a combination of optical interferometric sensors to allow for a highest precision (nanometer), no-contact, quality control in optical and mechanical manufacturing.
Aside of the software development the role includes the evaluation, analyzation, improvement and test of new calibration methods.
Required Essential Skills:
- Very good understanding of physics, optics, fibre optics and interferometry
- Profound knowledge and experience in programming (C/C++, C#)
- Good understanding in mechanical and multi-disciplinary engineering
- Analytical thinking and a creative mind
- Good three-dimensional perception
- Working on flexible hours when required
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally when required
- Fluent German and English language in spoken word and writing
EXPERIENCE/DEGREE/CERTIFICATION:
Excellent degree (masters) in physics or mechanical engineeringProven experience in software development before a mechanical background
